NVIDIA and Reliance_Jio are collaborating to build a cutting-edge AI infrastructure in India, known as “Jio_Brain_AI,” aimed at democratizing AI technology across the country.
Investment and Funding: The project is part of the IndiaAI mission, with an investment of $2.5 billion aimed at enhancing the country’s AI capabilities and positioning India as a global AI leader.
Infrastructure Plans: The initiative will involve creating AI_ready data centers, scaling up to 2,000 MW capacity, and using NVIDIA’s GH200 Grace_Hopper_Superchips and DGX Cloud technology for advanced AI computing.
Key Applications: Jio Brain AI will focus on developing generative AI applications, large language models for India’s diverse languages, and AI-powered solutions for sectors like agriculture and healthcare.
Timeline: The first phase of the AI infrastructure is expected to be operational by 2025, with further expansion continuing in the following years.
Strategic Importance: This partnership aims to support AI startups, researchers, and public sector applications in India, making cutting-edge technology more accessible.
