Are we shopping for sustainability or just bagging more problems? Let’s unpack the stats:
SplashSplash – “Water you doing, Paper?

CarbonOverload – “You huff, I puff, I pollute!
Paper’s CO₂ emissions are 3x higher than plastic’s, thanks to energy-heavy processing.
TreeTears – “Leaf me alone!
Over 4 billion trees fall each year for paper—deforestation doesn’t grow on you.
PlasticFantastic? – “Forever in fashion?
Plastic bags take up to 1,000 years to degrade—now that’s a toxic relationship.
RecycleFail – “Bag it and forget it.
Less than 10% of plastic bags are recycled—most ghost into landfills or oceans.
FishyBusiness – “There’s a bag in my sushi!
Over 8 million tons of plastic hit our oceans annually—feeding the wrong food chain.
KtalystPunchline:
It’s not about paper or plastic—it’s about pressing pause on throwaway thinking. Reuse, rethink, rebel.
